About the Role
We are looking for enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Design Engineers (Permit) with 0–1 year of experience (or relevant academic background) in the solar PV industry. The candidate will support the design and development of solar PV systems, ensuring accurate execution under guidance from senior team members. This is a great opportunity to grow in a fast-paced, mission-driven organization.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities and Outcomes
1. Production
Can design PV ground-mounted and rooftop solar systems using custom software tools and CAD.
Perform basic system sizing and load calculations.
Draft electrical single-line diagrams, connection layouts, and panel schedules using computer-aided design (CAD)/ PVsyst software.
Prepare design layouts including conduit routing and wire schedules as per guidelines.
Assist in preparing designs that meet grid compliance and permitting requirements.
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and client expectations.
2. Delivery Support
Coordinate with senior engineers or quality engineers for design reviews and updates.
Ensuring adherence to timelines and project scope.
Receive and apply mentorship from senior design engineers to enhance CAD and solar system design skills.
3. Quality and Process Support
Follow internal quality processes and use checklists to ensure consistency.
Flag design concerns, work on them to improve individual performance by adhering the quality check process.
Maintain documentation standards and ensure organized design file management.
